With The Towbes Group in Santa Barbara, California
“Lands’ End and the Towbes Group have a lot in common,” says Craig Zimmerman, CEO of The Towbes Group. “Just like us,” he adds, “Lands’ End provides quality.”
With headquarters centrally located in Santa Barbara’s picturesque downtown district, The Towbes Group owns and manages 2,800 residential units and 1.8 million square feet of commercial space in Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo counties. The company takes pride in offering residents a high standard of living, with spacious apartments, attractive landscaping and amenities for wellness and entertainment. The Towbes Group has also received numerous awards and certifications for sustainability and affordable housing.

Comfortable and functional logo apparel, says Zimmerman, plays an important role in elevating the Towbes brand. “What we do to improve lives really starts with our own team members. The clothing helps our employees focus on providing a high-quality experience and standard of living for our clients.”
Logo-embroidered polos, dress shirts and soft blouses unify the brand across the company’s 15 properties, explains Jessica Doss, Marketing Manager: “Each property has its own personality, its own logo and its own style. But across all of them, our brand is consistent.”

"We have people doing gardening at our apartment communities, we have corporate executives, we have people in sales, so we have a wide variety of needs for our corporate clothing," adds Zimmerman. " Lands’ End Business, he says, has provided a one-stop shop with "all of the different types of clothing that we need. It allows our team members to choose exactly what they want in the size, fit and color that they want.”

Towbes Group employees also wear logo apparel when volunteering in their community, including rebuilding structures destroyed in recent wildfires. In fact, giving back to the community has been essential to the Towbes Group ever since it was founded by the late Michael Towbes over 65 years ago. Towbes, who passed away in 2017, was a leading philanthropist in Santa Barbara, spearheading many projects that benefit the community today.

As Michael Towbes’s successor, Zimmerman is committed to building on the founder’s legacy. “We like to think that his vision still lives on today when an entrepreneur starts a business in one of our office buildings, or when a small shop owner can realize their dream of opening up a retail store. We’re not just a development firm. We’re building communities.”
Lands’ End Business is a valued partner in sustaining this legacy. “Our brand is very important to us,” Zimmerman says. “After 60 years the Towbes Group means something to the community. We know that when we put our logo on something it’s going to have meaning.”
