Last week our creative team hit the road for another Behind The Logo story, although this time the subject was a little closer to home: Mead & Hunt, a nationwide engineering and architecture firm based in Middleton, Wisconsin. Mead & Hunt staff generously took time out of their busy schedules to give us an inside look at their company—which has offices around the country—and talk with us about how their partnership with Lands' End Business has had a positive impact on their brand. We also learned a lot about Mead & Hunt's lengthy history, and discovered that both our brands share similar values—putting clients and customers first and providing the highest quality and best service possible.
Carson Mettel, Water Resources Department Manager, shared the fascinating history of the company, which stretches back to 1900 when founder Daniel W. Mead began designing dams for hydroelectric power and water management around Wisconsin. Since then, the firm has expanded into many different fields, and manages projects throughout the United States.
Carson showed our creative team survey maps and plans of hydroelectric projects from the earliest years of Mead & Hunt. It was fascinating to see these century-old documents, all meticulously drawn by hand. Some of the structures are still in use today.
In addition to shooting still photography of Mead & Hunt employees proudly wearing their logo'd apparel, we interviewed three senior members of the staff about the company's relationship with Lands' End Business, and how this branded apparel partnership works for them.
We're grateful to Mead & Hunt for sharing their time, facilities and friendly staff. Watch for the video online and images from our photoshoot in our catalog later this spring.
