Did you know that every two minutes a woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with breast cancer? Of course, it's more than just a statistic, and here at Lands' End Business many of us have been impacted personally by breast cancer. Some of us are survivors, some of us have lost a loved one, and some are fighting the disease right now. It's why since 2013 we've partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) and made a donation every time a customer adds a pink ribbon logo to Lands' End Business apparel or accessories. To celebrate five years of this partnership—The Pink Thread Project™— we're stepping up our support this year and donating 100% of the $5.95 pink ribbon embroidery fee to BCRF through October 31.
Since the partnership began, we're proud to have raised more than $200,000 for BCRF, the highest-rated breast cancer organization in the US, which has funded more than 10 million hours of research since its inception in 1993. We're also heartened to see so many of our customers join with us to help find a cure for this devastating disease. The Pink Thread Project™ is a great way for your company to show support. And, since October is just three months away, now is the time to start thinking about how to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Whether you outfit your team in a pink-ribbon-embroidered polo or dress shirt, or add the ribbon to our classic canvas totes, your customers will know you care about everyone affected by breast cancer. Don't forget to share the details of The Pink Thread Project™ with them, so they know the logo really does contribute to funding for research. $5.95 may seem like a small donation, but it adds up to a lot when everyone gets involved. As we like to say at Lands' End—a little pink does a lot of good.
