Boston Public Gardens
A couple of weeks ago, several members of our creative team met up with a photo and video crew in the beautiful city of Boston to shoot our next Behind The Logo story. The subject? Boston Duck Tours, one of the city's most celebrated attractions and a long-time Lands' End Business outfitting partner. For three days, we joined them on their iconic amphibious vehicles or "ducks" through the historic streets of downtown Boston and on the Charles River.

While we became pretty well acquainted with Boston, there wasn't much time for sightseeing. We were up at 5 a.m. each morning to get the cameras rolling. With rain and temperatures sometimes dipping to around 50 degrees, it wasn't exactly optimal June weather, but it provided the perfect opportunity to shoot our outerwear in action, protecting tour staff from the elements throughout the day.

The next morning we headed to the Boston Duck Tours garage to get shots of the staff in Lands' End Workwear, including, appropriately enough, cotton duck jackets. We arrived early and worked around the departure of the vehicles for the day's tours. The garage houses all 28 ducks and remains busy through the day with vehicle maintenance, repair and cleaning.

In addition to filming with Boston Duck Tours, our team spent a couple of days on location shooting other apparel—including polos and dress shirts—for our upcoming catalogs. Our Boston Duck Tours feature will be on our site and in our August catalog, so check back in several weeks for the full story and video. We think you'll agree it's wicked good!
