In this business we see lots of great-looking logos, from Fortune® 500 companies to small family-run operations.
This design stopped us in our tracks.
It was created by Rosie Augustine, and commissioned by Judy MacDonald Johnston as a gift for her friend and neighbor, Shirley Modini.
Shirley and her husband of 66 years, Jim Modini, announced they were donating their magnificent 1,725 acre Sonoma County ranch to Audubon Canyon Ranch, which will preserve and protect the land and property’s native plants and animals.
To commemorate the announcement, Judy contacted us late Thursday, Feb. 4, and asked us to embroider the ranch logo as big as possible on the back of our ThermaCheck 100 Vest. “I thought it would be a way to celebrate her commitment to preserving landscape, and to help keep her cozy on her daily walk around the ranch,” said Judy.
“…I’d like to give it to Shirley on Valentine’s Day,” added Judy. That gave us just 5 business days to complete the project, including securing Judy’s approval on samples. No problem. As promised, we delivered a vest with the striking 10-color, 78,000 stitch logo embroidered on back.
On the 14th Judy gave Shirley the logo’d vest. “She loves it,” says Judy. “You made her Valentine’s Day. Thank you so much for making this happen on time and for delivering such a beautiful product. The colors and embroidery are stunning.”
You are welcome, Judy. We’re glad we could help you honor the gift of unspoiled nature that Shirley and Jim Modini have given us all.
